Pool Fight's Back
The pool have taken extreme measures to
combat a Speight of lead thefts from the roof of the pool, the main step
being removing all lead and replacing with a non lead product called
"Ubiflex" .
Ubiflex has no monetary value. but has
all the properties of lead.

Di'mond Spurs Line Dancers
Members of Di'mond Spurs Line
Dancers paid a visit to the pool to have a look around the many facilities
on offer, they were shown around and introduced to some users of the
pool
by Deputy Manager Jan Platt.
At the end of the tour members of the
group kindly handed over a cheque for £1,350 to the Association, which will
be used in projects at the pool, including putting solid tyres on all the
wheelchairs at the pool (No more punctures)
Also helping to develop and print a
new brochure.

Members of the Swindon Natural Health
Centre presenting a cheque for £579-01p to Pool Manager Paul Charlwood. This
pioneering group that originally formed 25 years ago have now ceased
operations and kindly donated the residue of the Groups income to the
Hydrotherapy Pool Association to carry on its work.

celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary in June
Shirley & Derek Main kindly requested donations for the Pool & Prospect
Foundation in lieu of presents. Thanks to the generosity of family and
friends £750 was raised.

SWINDON's charity
stalwarts work countless hours doing thankless tasks and ask for nothing
in return. But yesterday 12 of them were rewarded for their tireless
efforts.
The Charity Star Awards
ceremony at the Brunel Centre honoured the heroes who do so much to help
others in the town. A dozen volunteers were nominated and three were
picked out by Brunel Centre manager Nick Beaumont-Jones and Swindon deputy
mayor Michael Barnes, for the star awards.
